Tsutomu Tanimura works as a private secretary in the office of Shohei Kawashima, a member of the House of Representatives who has a strong base in the area and continues to be elected. He has reached the middle of his career as a secretary and is satisfied with his job as a perfect \"support person\" for Kawashima. One day, however, Kawashima falls ill. At that time, the House of Representatives is dissolved. Kawashima's daughter, Yumi, was chosen to take over Kawashima's position and run in the next election. She is free-spirited and naive. The secretaries are driven by the free-spirited, naive, but mysteriously enthusiastic Yumi. But, as one might expect, her father Kawashima's groundwork is solid.
